The levelling system performs level and slope control in a fully automated process. It evaluates the signals transmitted by the sensors, calculates the deviations from the preset target value and automatically translates the information into level and slope corrections to be performed by the machine. The operator is relieved of a significant part of his workload as manual interventions are no longer required.
Deviations from the target value are picked up by the sensors and
calculated by the levelling system, which then automatically transmits a
corrective value to the machine. Different sensors are used for
different applications depending on the reference used (e.g. pavement
surface, kerb or stringline).
